The DreamColor Plus version has been validated as a single package.
Physical testing has been completed on the Dreamcast and in the advertised modes.
The package is clearly identified and includes a SHA-256 checksum.
The changelog explains fixes, limitations, and compatibility.
The recovery procedure has been documented and tested.
Safe procedure

How to prepare for an update

Validated
  1. Back up your save data before starting.
  2. Use only the official package intended for the specified version.
  3. Keep the DreamColor Plus powered by a stable USB power supply.
  4. Do not begin while playing a game, using emulators, exporting a VMU, or accessing the microSD card.
  5. During installation, do not remove the card, USB cable, or battery.
  6. Wait for completion and the automatic restart before using the controller again.
